Create checksum reports for a entire drive, tape or selected folders
In the Source Browser it is possible to write a report at the top level of a drive or tape or inside one or more folders.
Load a tape into a tape drive or library, or select a drive and add it as a job. Open the Source Browser.
This will automatically mount and index the tape.
Select the first folder in the Browser, open Folder Actions and click Create MHL or Create MD5.
YoYotta will create a report inside the selected folder, in this example the top level of the tape.
Note that multiple subfolders can be selected, in which case a separate metadata report will be created inside each folder.
When complete click the refresh button above the job table and YoYotta will re-index the job and the Browser will show the new metadata files. Here the tape is ID2015 so the checksum file is called ID2015.md5.
If some files do not have checksums (maybe the tape was created without using YoYotta) then a warning message will be shown and the report will not be generated.
To generate the missing checksums select MD5 + xxHash : Quick Verify and click Verify Job.
YoYotta will create any missing checksums, when complete click the Create button again.
If ASC MHL reports are required then make sure ASC MHL is enabled in Preferences. The reports will then be written inside an ascmhl folder.
