YoYotta v4

What's new for Spring 2025

Compare archive contents and create custom jobs

Use the new Custom Job feature to compare snapshots of different archives. The snapshots can be of drives, tapes or S3 cloud storage. For example a drive compared to four LTO tapes, or a drive and shared storage. By default match file name, path and checksum to ensure an copy, mirroring the folder structure. If a different folder structure has been used for a new copy, disable path matching to ensure all files are present even if they are now in different locations. The checksum matching still ensure all the files are matching. Read more about comparing archives and creating custom jobs

ASC MHL

Use ASC MHL to validate folder contents. View the folder history by navigating back through the MHL chain files. ASC MHL reports are a standardised time-stamped file format containing checksums for copies and also re-verifications. It's looking like ASC MHL will be a requirement for delivery to some studios. Generating and parsing these reports is built into YoYotta v4.

Parallel restores when using YoYotta Conform

Connect multiple libraries for larger workflows
Supports different generation libraries to manage LTO tape migration
When working with YoYotta Conform, referenced tapes can be loaded into any library for parallel restores and trims using all tape drives

Latest camera SDKs built in

Supports thumbnail and metadata decoding from clips creted by Canon, RED, ARRI, Sony, BMD, Nikon cameras running the latest firmware.

AWS S3 updates
